The Cost of a Bowl of Soup

“The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes.” Sherlock Holmes

We believe in transparency so we’d like to take a moment to share with you all that goes into a bowl of soup. Ingredients and labor make up the majority of our costs as you might expect. 90% of our ingredients are organic, many are from local farms, all our meats and bones for our bone broths are from local, pastured animals. This costs more but we think it is worth it, better for you and the environment. We are an artisan, small batch producer, which means with the exception of a few food processors, everything in our kitchen is done by hand using skilled chefs. And then there is packaging, a necessary evil of all food businesses. Finally, cooked into our business model is a commitment to give back to our community which is why each week we donate 100 bowls of soup to our local food bank, Cornerstones because we believe everyone deserves good, healthy, clean nourishing food.
